Evidence based reading comprehension
The same teachers are assisted with critical assessment data results to show them their students’ literacy strengths and needs. This pertinent information can be overwhelming to many teachers. It is crucial that teachers are prepared to provide differentiated instruction and intervention strategies to all of their students.
Research shows that “approximately 40% of students across the nation cannot read at a basic level.” Teachers are struggling to teach reading and writing across the grade levels. Teachers are increasingly expected to take the role of implementing effective reading and writing instruction to all students.
